All vegetation management practices outside of the agricultural industry is classified as industrial. Examples thereof are Railway lines and yards, roads, factories, security fences, paved areas and any areas with the need for vegetation control.
The main purpose is to manage and eradicate unwanted vegetation which may cause an obstruction or inconvenience to the client.
This method consists of all cutting of vegetation by means of a mechanical implement such as brushcutters, chainsaws, hacksaws and slashing.

No long term control as vegetation will grow back
Certain unwanted vegetation will have to be cut more than 4 times per year thus make this option less cost effective if client wants long term control.
This method consists of using a registered herbicide to control all unwanted vegetation.
Long term control
Larger areas can be covered
High initial cost but with longer control this option proves to be more cost effective.
All persons applying herbicides in a business capacity needs to be a registered Pest Control Officer in Industrial Weed Control under the FERTILIZERS, FARM FEEDS, AGRICULTURAL REMEDIES AND STOCK REMEDIES ACT 36 OF 1947.
